One OS To Rule Them All by EldiS82 One OS To Rule Them All by EldiS82
Another minimalistic Linux related wallpaper. I found this funny tagline accidentally somewhere on web, so I decided to do something with it.
Vivid colors really look nice on dark background. This time even on light background it turned out nice.

Thank you MIK. Not much time involved in this one, but sometimes some "easy" stuff turns out much better than some "hard" others.

Hey Rasa... Thank you for the 103256th time. :D
And thanks for loving the new logo. I wanted something with more industrial-ish feel. The last one was quite abstract.

I'm using PS much more (still), but another problem I have is that my system is quite poor (7 years old, believe it or not), and any current distro + GIMP combination is making my system almost unusable, especially when I'm working with larger files. Unity is heavy as hell, even in 2D mode, Gnome 3 is the same, and even Cinnamon is not going flawlessly. Currently, under Linux I'm limited to basic use, like browsing, downloading, playing multimedia, and that's it.
Windows XP + PS is much easier on resources, so untill I get a new system, I'm sticking with PS. And even when I'm working in GIMP under Windows, it is slower than PS for some weird reason.

but are u test XFCE, or LXDE, or really lightweight WM like pekwm, awesome, openbox, etc. ?

Ofcourse I tested XFCE and LXDE, many times, and they are indeed really light on resources, but then, on the other side, problem with these light desktop environments is that you are quite limited with:
1 - desktop appearance
2 - applications choice
Between two compromises, first of having nice looking desktop, with better choice of apps, but a little bit slow, and second of having ugly desktop, with limited choice of apps, but lighter on resources, I'm choosing the first one.

It's funny because there are a million distros of Linux.

Well, I guess he means that Linux is the best base of a full OS. Most are very similar to use for the end-user.

It is funny, but just don't take it too serious. We always engage discussions in a "Linux vs. Win vs. OSX" form, so obviouslu, this is related to Linux in general.
PS: Please don't answer with "Linux is not OS at all, it is kernel"! :D
